HISTORY of Kedney MOVING Center

Kedney MOVING Center has been owner operated by the Berge family since 1922. Kedney has maintained its roots in the Red River Valley and throughout the years has grown, diversified, and adapted to the ever-changing moving industry. Thomas and his son Russell Berge, built the original Kedney Warehouse in downtown Grand Forks, ND. The warehouse is utilized today as apartments and recognized as a landmark within the city of Grand Forks and its history.

After the completion of the warehouse Kedney was primarily in the dry goods transportation and storage market. After World War II the Grand Forks Air Force Base was built providing Kedney Moving Center the opportunity to join the household goods movers industry. The Berge’s then decided to become an Allied Van Lines Agent. Business thrived for Kedney and warehouses in Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN; Minot, ND, and Sioux Falls, SD were purchased to extend their market and bring better networking services to their customers. In the 90’s Kedney had the opportunity to join the fastest growing household goods carrier, Atlas Van Lines. Today Kedney has become a full scale Moving Center and is diversified in related transportation fields focused on packing, moving, storing, and shipping. Budget Truck Rentals, The Packaging Store, and an authorized UPS ship center are brought together to provide better services for Kedney’s customers.
